I came across these amazing women in my search for resources to help me become more productive in...well, EVERYTHING. My friends and family look at me as the creative, visionary, who sees greatness in anything. But...to be quite honest. I am horrible at creating schedules, completing tasks, and staying organized to help me to get things done.
Hey...it's the truth! Lol. And pretty sure many of you could agree with me.
Last year, I was literally all over the place. I kept forgetting important dates and times. I knew that, in order, for me to make an impact on my lifestyle choices that I had to a adopt some major habits of organization. My life this year is going to keep me on my toes, especially since I am working on my Masters in Nonprofit Administration as a full-time graduate student. *gasp!* If you have been to college, you know that it is the place that will kick your butt into shape whether you want it to or not. Before the semester started, I was determined to kick my own butt into to shape since it is my butt. I'm just saying...
Let me tell you! Like...all jokes aside. I have successfully used my Cultivate What Matters Powersheets and Simplified Planner for about a week now. In that small time frame, I feel more organized and less stressed than I have ever felt before. I can only image what I will feel like at my mid-year check-in. With my goal planner, I feel like I can accomplish whatever my hearts desire even if I take small, but important baby steps.
For example, on my tending list, I created small, steps to help me reach my big goals, which are:
- Love and embrace who I am.
- Intentionally devote time with God.
- Radically praise and dance with God.
- Use your voice and speak up.
My tending list for the month of January focuses mainly on spending more time with God, using my voice, working out my body (post-meningitis), and relationships. I want my January tending sheets to not overwhelm me, but to encourage me. As you can see, I haven't successfully completed much, but I am working on my goals little by little.
Okay...Now. This baby right here goes with me EVERYWHERE. No like, seriously. EVERYWHERE!
My Simplified Planner is my brain! Sometimes, I will admit, that I forget things when I don't have it on me, but it's nice to have a planner that plans out your day by the hour and provides a to-do list for the day. I have been getting so much done in my day! It's crazy!
Usually...when I have too much on my plate. I forget things and it doesn't get down. *sigh* Yeah...I know. Bad. But I am getting better! My planner allows me to go back and check my list to see what I have completed and what I still need to check off. The unorganized Brittany is in love right now. The organized Brittany is becoming a tad bit addicted. I think you might need to check her into an addiction anonymous clinic. She is getting carried away. Just a tad...
I don't know about you, but these resources are a MUST HAVE in your life. You will not regret it! You will discover a whole different side of yourself with these additions in your life.
